Mary E. Gray, 88, died suddenly in a hotel at Overland, Kansas at 8 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Gray was in the company of her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Verne Ellis and Mrs. Sanford Nutt. They left Crawfordsville Saturday for a visit to Mrs. Gray's niece in Kansas. Mrs. Gray was born in Mace on Feb 21, 1865. She was married to William Gray who preceded her in death. Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Ellis of Waynetown; a son, Reed of Martinsville; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was a member of the Mace Methodist Church. The body was to be brought to the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. - kbz
